Two short poems

I wrote two poems today, without meaning to.

For the first, I was writing a difficult email to a group of people.  I started to end with my usual, "Grace," but then this appeared.  Seems like a good benediction to me:

Grace, I pray for you, abundant and overflowing,
Gratitude, I offer for you, loving and joyous,
Peace, I bring to you, beyond our understanding,
and Joy, I wish for you, a gift from God.

And then I left a birthday wish on Facebook, and it became this:

May your day be joyful,
Your life be hopeful,
and May you have no need to make wishes
as you blow out your candles.
