You are Mine
God says this.
I made you.
I formed you.
Why are you afraid?
You are mine,
and I have redeemed you.
I call you by name.
Through the water
Through the fire
You are mine.
When life overwhelms you,
when the water rises,
I am with you.
You can breathe because I give you life.
When life rushes by you,
when you can’t find your footing,
I am with you.
You can stand fast because I hold you.
When life feels like fire,
when you feel the pain,
I am with you.
You will survive because I surround you.
Through the water
Through the fire
You are mine.
I am the Lord your God.
I have given everything for you.
Because you are precious.
Beloved.
Honored.
I love you.
I have given my son for you.
My life for yours.
I call you by name.
My sons and daughters, I have saved you.
You are mine.
Do not be afraid.
I knit you together
I created you.
I tell you the truth.
