Creation Dances

An expansion of Psalm 114.

I stand on the mountain top,
Seeing God’s creation.
I remember the footsteps
that have walked here before,
Even the footprints seem to dance in praise.

Back in the beginning
When Moses was the guide,
Israel arose from Egypt
From a land that was foreign to them.
God carried them,
Parted the sea for them,
Fed them
Led the way.
To a new land
A land that become his dominion.

Today
God takes us out of the slavery of the world,
And parts the seas for us.
We are not meant to be citizens
Of this land.
We are to be free.
God carries us,
He feeds us,
He leads the way to
Transformation
When we give ourselves to him.

Creation celebrates the salvation of one child.
The mountains and the hills tremble,
God is alive, and his creation
Hears his voice
And knows his name.
It sings a song of praise
The earth shakes, its low roar an undertone.
Rocks dance.
As He brings forth new life.
