Of Tennis and Trumpet

Were there any bugs in your backyard tonight? No? Do you know why? It's because every bug in Huntington was in Barboursville Park tonight. Every single one of them.

Tennis tonight, and despite the bugs: G/M : 8 -- Milton : 2 (W)

G found out about jazz band today. Seven or eight trumpets tried out, and five made the band. G came in third, but he was only behind first by 0.2 points. His band director told him that if he had not hit a B-flat in one of he pieces he played in the audition, he would have been first trumpet. In fact, there was such a small difference between the three trumpets, Mr. Kerr told them that they were all first trumpet, and that he would rotate the role and the solos among them. What a cool band director.

Congratulations G!! One of my best memories from junior high (now middle school) was playing in the jazz band...it was a blast. How cool!
